The Eye Of The Dragonfly

This piece was written in response to Naviarhaiku 237 – The distant mountains.

  The distant mountains
  are reflected in the eye
  of the dragonfly

This is a haiku by Kobayashi Issa, a Japanese poet and lay Buddhist priest of the Jōdo Shinshū sect known for his haiku poems and journals

The Eye Of The Dragonfly was written for Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Trombone, Marimba, Viola and Cello.
